By definition, change is the act, process, or result of altering or modifying. For Kingdom-minded believers, times of change mean God is bringing attention to anything that might keep us from moving forward. Our part in this intervention is to follow His Spirit’s leading. With resolve to cooperate with changes He calls for. When the Lord decrees change, the last thing we want is to remain the same… spiritually, geographically, physically.

Interestingly the word “reconcile” means to totally change. Sometimes we are to leave something behind, even a good or God-thing, as the Lord recalibrates according to His present will for us. In doing so, He adds new and different things to move us forward in relationship with Him. The Holy Spirit is our guide in the process; with fresh revelation and assurance, God is orchestrating all of it for good.

Prayerfully acknowledge your current season and any change the Lord has called for in your personal life. As a parent, do the same for the family you are responsible to lead. Allow an honest, sincere assessment: 1) where I am really; 2) how long have I been here; and 3) am I to be patient with where I am or yield to something new—for change?

Amen.
