The Lord is more patient with us than we can comprehend. But patience is not something that we always extend to others—we need patience from the Lord and others but less often show patience.   

We see the ordeal others go through and may impatiently wonder why it’s taking so long. But the Lord, who always sees and watches, always knows and foreknows is patiently standing by.   

Maturity teaches that patience is part of wisdom; despite the wait or delay in achieving results, once I really know what God wants, wisdom will not settle for less. 

Leadership, too, is measured by the ability to patiently wait. We are to lead with confidence and patiently expect all who follow to join us at the finish line. 

“The end of a thing is better than its beginning; The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.” (Ecclesiastes 7:8)

“Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.” (Hebrews 10:36)
