“And of Joseph he said, Blessed by the Lord be his land, With the precious things of heaven, with the dew, And from the deep water that lies beneath, With the precious fruits of the sun, And with the precious produce of the months. With the best things of the ancient mountains, And with the precious things of the everlasting hills, With the precious things of the earth and its fullness, And the favor and goodwill of Him who dwelt in the bush. Let these blessings come upon the head of Joseph, And upon the crown of the head of him who was distinguished [as a prince] among his brothers.”  (Deuteronomy 33:13-16, AMP)

The Lord’s prophetic anointing points us to prepare for a future time. Like Joseph, who rose to leadership in a pagan nation and engineered deliverance from famine for the nation and much of the surrounding region. Prophetically inspired by God, Joseph prepared ahead of time for the multi-nation disaster, and in the process, distinguished himself for all time as God’s forerunner example of how it’s done!

Christian believers are modern-day Josephs. Prophetic emphasis positions us like Joseph was. Sensitivity to prophetic insight from the Holy Spirit is our part—the Lord speaks prophetically, and we discern His leading. The person who sees and trusts that leading, despite delays and opposition, has insight to effectively pray for unexpected, even supernatural outcomes.

For believers, the unknown belongs to God’s domain and is, therefore, not a threat. He reveals to them the future and things to come. Those willing to see beyond the moment are sharpened spiritually, even carrying others forward as well because they discern something brighter and greater than the present, and prophetically see the generations as God intended.
 
Prophetic insight is a wealth.
