But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’ But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.”  (1 Corinthians 2:9-12)

We grow in relationship with Jesus and test our progress by the fruit that we produce as we live our lives according to the Lord’s revealed purposes. Reaching beyond the surface, we want depth.

God revealed to Abraham that his lineage, the fruit of his life, would be marked. We belong to thatcompany, that lineage, and we, too, carry divine marking. We are set apart for exploits—more vision, greater depth in the Spirit, and supernatural capacity to love what He loves.

Ezekiel described the supernatural life of the believer. In a manner of speaking, a river is forming around us, with soaking waters that represent the new. In the flood are both good and evil, but like Abraham, our distinctive is blessing, not curse… a prophetic people immersed in the Spirit of light and life. The supernatural river that surrounds us is indeed teeming with life!

The Spirit searches!

Amen.
