Much is determined in the low place—where everything screams against resolve to remain confident, where the strong temptation is to waiver from one waterhole of slight improvement to the next, and the unspoken fear is what we do next if there isn’t a breakthrough.
Your integrity actually gives you the advantage here—as one who has God’s Word and believes the Lord implicitly. Hope may slip momentarily, but true Bible faith grows stronger in the process of taking one step at a time, aligned with the Word by speaking and doing it.
So before allowing something less, remember the volcano within can also be your launch and, since complaining is senseless compared to hope that kindles, submit completely to God. Choose His perspective.
For the one who believes against all odds . . . God comes! He floods your space. He is your comfort. He restores the waste places. And because you see Him this way and trust Him fully, the wilderness threat lessens with every step forward.
Rather than the typical low-life mumbo-jumbo, your response in a time like this is in a higher class—the Lord receives your praise, your thankful determination. You have the voice, melody, and advantage of one who is blessed mightily.
You never remain in the low place.
Amen!
