Turn The World Upside Down

Mentoring transfers the mentor’s experience to the mentee—teacher to student. The teacher gracefully imparts intuitive leadership to students who in turn, invigorate the process with enthusiasm to learn. It works the same in most teacher-student relationships, including those in a primarily spiritual setting.

Jesus made disciples of all kinds of people and the resulting transfers of leadership from Jesus to his disciples changed history. He trained the outspoken and strong-willed, as well as those more reluctant to speak. By the end of his ministry, those He had trained went forth to turn the world upside down with His message, and nothing—nothing—has been the same since!

The Resurrection makes this possible for us—we step out in faith from one place to the next higher one, from familiar to unknown realms, from just the basics to new levels of faith. When we hear the trumpet, we don’t hesitate. When we hear “move” we do not standstill. When we hear “go” we do not stay. As the cloud moves, we follow… and are changed from one level of glory to the next, higher level of glory.
