Jesus made disciples—He taught and trained, then left them! The principle He knew, and we’ve come to know is that Holy Spirit power moves the student beyond the teacher… humility is formed and God’s voice known as the Lord establishes disciples in His authority for every aspect of life.
A disciple is teachable (a learner), willing to grow (mature) into a lifestyle marked by courage and confident trust (decisiveness). Like a soldier trained for the contest, disciples face spiritual battles knowing what to do and have an intuitive grasp for how to do it. Bottom line a disciple’s focus is Kingdom building under Holy Spirit authority and direction.
The LORD calls disciples of His to wisdom and by His Spirit gives them understanding of the times and a spiritual knowing of what to do. A disciple draws from their total of learning and life application to both meet and answer today’s challenge.
A disciple is ready.
