The start of a new year gives parents an opportune time to establish a family altar—a place in the home to gather on purpose, to celebrate God’s goodness and seek His wisdom.

The family altar is a training place—a special, established place—where parents and children grow their capacity to worship; it’s the place the family can come to receive wisdom for decisions and planning, and gain insight into God’s will for family matters.

  • For generational issues
  • For specific health challenges—those that “run in our family.”
  • For specific petition prayers, teaching the younger ones the principle of asking AND receiving.

A family altar is the center—the heart of the home. It’s where we exchange inherited natural strengths for a blessed, spiritual inheritance. It’s where faith develops, heartache is pre-empted, and families grow spiritually—together.

Amen.
