At The Center

A family altar is the center—the heart of the home. It’s where we discover our spiritual inheritance. It is where faith develops, heartache is pre-empted, and families grow together spiritually.
 
“Arise, cry out in the night,
  as the watches of the night begin;
pour out your heart like water
  in the presence of the Lord.
Lift up your hands to Him
  for the lives of your children…”
(Lamentations 2:19, NIV)
 
Don’t put it off. Build your altar—not a physical altar necessarily; rather, a place in the home everyone will realize is established for special times together. Expect God’s presence to come as you gather. Expect His glory to come. Expect miracles. Pray big prayers. Believe for the impossible!
