“‘I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt; I have heard their groaning and have come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send you to Egypt.’ This Moses whom they rejected, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge?’ is the one God sent to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the Angel who appeared to him in the bush. He brought them out, after he had shown wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness forty years.”  (Acts 7:34-36)

In many families, there is one person who, having discovered God and His Word, sets upon a determined course to deliver this wealth to everyone—the rest of the family. Truly, they blaze the trail for an entire family line!

A price is paid in the process. In terms of popularity, the one who does so must swim upstream against the current and is viewed less favorably. In the future, however, they’ll be remembered more fondly than at first; possibly even adored… as deliverers who usher in salvation and God’s ordained destiny for the whole family line.

Amen.
