We should not be surprised when pressures ramp up to deter our faith with tormenting thoughts that we will never have our heart’s desire. We shouldn’t be surprised because that is precisely what pressure does—pressure creates self-doubt and God-doubt. Pressure crushes faith while simultaneously opening doors of depression as hope dwindles…on and on, and more of the same.
But remember, you have a covenant with Almighty God: “Delight yourself also in the Lord and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord (roll and repose every care of your load on Him); trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.”
Pressure and torment mingle to dissuade you that the desires in your heart are even possible. Trust in the Lord—do not give up one detail, one inch, or one moment’s peace. Not one. None. Satan is a bully, a legalist, a liar. Never listen to his devilish threats. Those never come from God. Never. Ever.
Make sure the Word of God profits you by “mixing (your) faith with (God’s) word.” His part is the Word. Your part is faith. Release your faith. Believe him. Do not doubt.
Amen!
