It is the LORD who forms the spirit of man within him.”  (Zechariah 12:1)

God created man a living, breathing, speaking spirit. From the moment of conception, we are spirit; and we have a soul and body for earthly dwelling. Each new life emerges this way. The spirit of the unborn baby receives a soul and body, making it a triune human life, designed by God, each one completely unique, each one-of-a-kind.

Christian parents discern the spirit of their child from birth, even in the womb, and thus give necessary nurture to the baby’s developing spirit, knowing their child’s life, from conception forward, is created to draw everything from its Creator.

The truth that we are spiritual beings living life in the placement God has for us best resonates in the heart that is teachable—a heart open to truths that transform the humanistic mindset and worldview.

Comparatively, some approach the miracle of life more on their own terms, a philosophical ideal appropriately sprinkled with select God-elements. They self-believe, meaning their strongest belief is in themselves, resisting genuine Bible faith in a struggle for control, a backward approach based in logic blind to humanity’s true identity.

Our identity is first of all spirit, created in His image, and the person who is born again by the Spirit of God hears and experiences the voice and presence of the Almighty, omnipotent and eternal God, our Father—the Father of spirits.

Amen.
