The Prophetic Word

“And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:19-21)

The Lord speaks to us, words from His Spirit to the human spirit. He is determined to bless and benefit you and He speaks to you today for that purpose. Any time He speaks, the message is prophetic, something revealed. When you hear Him, you receive prophetic words from Him. We receive His words and speak them in declarations of His will according to what we understand as we hear them. Our declaration before the Lord is important. Words spoken in faith are heard in the heavens. 

Your words, spoken in kind with the Lord’s declaration in matters of family, business, and nation, make all the difference. Also, as you discipline your words to speak the same thing He is saying, your thoughts become your expectation, prophetic in the same way His words and thoughts are prophetic.  

The prophet Jesus lives in the heart of every born-again believer.
